Responsibilities

  • Curriculum Development: Designing and implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum that meets the needs of young children. This includes planning activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development through play, exploration, and structured learning.
  • Creating a Safe Environment: Ensuring the classroom is a safe, secure, and welcoming space for children. This involves maintaining classroom cleanliness, organizing materials, and adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Facilitating Learning: Engaging children in various activities that promote learning through play, including arts and crafts, music, storytelling, and outdoor play. Teachers often use hands-on activities and interactive lessons to capture the children’s interest.
  • Observation and Assessment: Regularly observing and assessing each child's progress and development. This includes keeping records of individual achievements and challenges, and using this information to tailor educational approaches.
  • Building Relationships: Establishing positive relationships with children to foster trust and a sense of belonging. This involves being responsive to children’s needs, emotions, and interests.
  • Communication with Parents: Maintaining open lines of communication with parents and caregivers about their child's progress, behavior, and any concerns. This may include parent-teacher conferences, newsletters, or informal chats.
  • Supporting Social Development: Encouraging social skills such as sharing, cooperation, and conflict resolution. This often involves guiding children in group activities and helping them navigate interpersonal relationships.
  • Collaboration with Colleagues: Working collaboratively with other teachers and staff members to create a cohesive learning environment and share best practices.
  • Professional Development: Engaging in ongoing professional development to stay current with educational trends, techniques, and regulations in early childhood education.

The Job includes the following responsibilities:

  • Teaching for Class 1 - 4 following the CISCE Board curriculum.
  • Basic Requirement:

  • To be able to work with Academic Rigour, and build on the required skill sets that will enable students to approach the subject and exam with confidence.

  • To ensure that all other responsibilities related to ensuring a cohesive and balanced learning environment is taken care of-
  • Creating lesson plans that are grade appropriate and in consonance with the ICSE syllabus.
  • Correction of notebooks and assessment related corrections.
  • Setting the Question papers for all assessment related requirements.
